I love these tights-but they are Out of Stock :(

I am unable to post the photo of today's outfit since I don't have anyone (other then Max) to take my photo.  Nathan is in Cairo covering the situation there and Kate is babysitting. Not to say Max isn't a great little photographer, but after a few attempts we mostly got the wall.

So, I decided to post about these fab tights from ModCloth.com- I have been in "love" with these since they first posted them a few months ago. Unfortunately, I didn't grab them up in time. They are a modern twist on the a pair of traditional pair of seamed tights. I really like the contrast of the nude color and the black. I would however change a few things about them-like making them more a 50den with a sheer 20-30den seam. But, that's just me. So until I get the email notification that they are back in stock, I will just have pretend that they are in my collection.

Jeggings Part 2

While waiting for my Pajama Jeans to arrive, I decided to wear my other pair of "Jeggings".  These are from Marks and Spencer they are similar to this pair from HUE.  I find them so comfortable which is sort of embarrassing.  Unlike, the others I talked about these don't have pockets or a fly and don't need to be hemmed. I usually wear these on not so nice days or when I have to travel. Today again was a not so nice day. The boots are Sam Edelman. Hopefully this weather will get a little better so I can wear some fun tights!

Am I a Can-Can dancer or a Mime?

These are a pair of tights from Pretty Polly. They have a Faux over the Knee effect. I received these as a sample when I was going to do some Freelance work for the US launch of Pretty Polly.

I like pairing these tights with skirts that are on the shorter side so you can get the full effect. Today's outfit sort of looks like a cross between a French Mime/Can Can dancer. With a striped shirt you always have to keep your hosiery on the simple side, too many patterns in my opinion make an outfit look to busy.

I personally don't like my smile in this picture, but it will have to do :)

Corduroy "Jeanz" Stretch Leggings worn by my MOM

I still have yet to get my Pajama Jeans in the mail so to continue my "Jeggings" series I am going to feature my Mom, Alyse in her Corduroy "Jeanz".  These are a pair of Corduroy Leggings from the brand HUE  They like "Jeggings" have evolved from Corduroy pants that too have be come too too skinny! This are super stretchy and soft and lay really nice under tunics and tucked into boots. I have to say my Mom looks pretty stylish in her Corduroy "Jeggings"

Pajama Jeans

So, my Pajama Jeans have still not arrived and I had to change last night before I had a chance to take a photo of my "Jegging" outfit. Max got chocolate all over me! But I do have an outfit for today. Check back later :)

Jeggings

Sorry for not posting yesterday, I have been sick...ick ick....

Anyway, since we have received yet another 19 inches of snow here in NYC.  I am turning to "Jeggings" as my form of leg wear these next few days.  Jeggings which have derived from the trend of Leggings and too tight skinny jeans. Are all over the place, I personally bought my first pair at Marks and Spencers in London two Christmas ago and at the time thought they were just a temporary gap in the trends of our times. They come in all varieties and all price points. What stated as a heavier knit denim looking legging have evolved into 90% spandex and 10% cotton "jeans".  

Here I am wearing a pair of "Jeggings" from J Crew-These ones have a real waistband, zipper fly and I will need to hem them exactly why I really don't wear jeans to begin with.

Lace Tights and Tweed

This pair of Tights is from a store called GoldenPoint. Its a chain store in Europe that carries nothing but hosiery in winter and swimwear in the summer. GoldenPoint 


I think these particular pair I think were the brand Omsa. They are the the perfect shade of brown and they are about a 20 or 30 Den so they can be worn into the spring. 


I paired them with my new blouse that my grandmother gave me for Christmas which is from Chadwicks and the perfect pencil skirt from Zara its a dark brown and black tweed with a simple kick pleat in the back. I usually wear Retro (from MAC) lipstick with this outfit, but forgot to reapply before I took this photo.


I have worn these tights with many different outfits, but this one is my favorite!
